DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Christ and His Children

Charles Spurgeon 19

Jesus death He became like the corn of wheat which bringeth forth much fruit. There must be a succession of children unto Jesus; He is the Father of the everlasting age. He shall say, Behold, I and the children whom thou hast given me.

Jesus lives, for He sees His seed. He fixes His eye on us, He delights in us, He recognizes us as the fruit of His soul travail.

Jesus lives, for He sees His seed. He fixes His eye on us, He delights in us, He recognizes us as the fruit of His soul travail.

Christ and His Children. Daily Devotional by Charles Spurgeon

"When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed"—Isaiah 53:10

Our Lord Jesus has not died in vain. His death was sacrificial: He died as our substitute, because death was the penalty of our sins; and because His substitution was accepted of God, He has saved those for whom He made His soul a sacrifice.

Jesus death He became like the corn of wheat which bringeth forth much fruit. There must be a succession of children unto Jesus; He is "the Father of the everlasting age." He shall say, "Behold, I and the children whom thou hast given me."

A man is honored in his sons, and Jesus hath His quiver full of these arrows of the mighty.

A man is represented in his children, and so is the Christ in Christians. In his seed a man's life seems to be prolonged and extended; and so is the life of Jesus continued in believers.

Jesus lives, for He sees His seed. He fixes His eye on us, He delights in us, He recognizes us as the fruit of His soul travail.

Let us be glad that our Lord does not fail to enjoy the result of His dread sacrifice, and that He will never cease to feast His eyes upon the harvest of His death.

Those eyes which once wept for us, are now viewing us with pleasure. Yes, He looks upon those who are looking unto Him. Our eyes meet! What a joy is this!

Faith's Checkbook

Charles Spurgeon
A promise from God may very instructively be compared to a check payable to order. It is given to the believer with the view of bestowing upon him some good thing. Faith's Checkbook is a daily devotional by Charles Spurgeon.
We need to write our vision down in clear, compelling language so that it grips our hearts.

Write It Down!

Zig Ziglar
Some of us wander from one thing to another our whole lives. An out-of-focus purpose can’t inspire us, but a crystal-clear lens on God’s purpose for us rivets our attention and gives us energy to keep going until we reach our goals.
Living in the past, whether failed or successful, takes our lives out of focus.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

One Thing

Zig Ziglar
We’ve enjoyed stunning success, but instead of using our gains as a foundation for future growth, we keep reliving those memories. Living in the past, whether failed or successful, takes our lives out of focus. Paul says, “Forget the past and move on.”
Those who were blessed gave to those who were in need of a blessing.

The Blessing Of Giving

John Eckhardt
If you want to receive the blessing of God, you have to be ready to give. You cannot expect to live a blessed life if all you do is receive, receive, receive. You will end up like the Dead Sea—becoming too salty and too toxic to support any kind of life.
The only possibility of understanding the teaching of Jesus is by the light of the Spirit of God on the inside.

Clouds And Darkness

Oswald Chambers
If we have never had the experience of taking our commonplace religious shoes off our commonplace religious feet, and getting rid of al the undue familiarity with which we approach God, it is questionable whether we have ever stood in His presence.
